The most popular games played on the Internet are Flight Simulation Games

Flight simulation games are now so realistic that its not long before the PC pilot actually believes he's flying the real thing.

The games come in two formats: Full sized cockpits (or, simpits) and the PC downloadable games. The full size cockpit of course allows the user to experience motions such as sudden turbulence and he has the controls, instruments and dials in on the same scale as a real cockpit. However, downloadable flight simulation games are vastly less expensive and offer a very similar experience, with life like cockpits, featuring the exact dials, controls, radio and instruments the same as the aircraft you have chosen to fly, along with life like scenery, changeable weather and a selection of over 20,000 plus worldwide airports to land on plus a huge selection of terrain to fly over and night and day flying.

Now that there are so many games available, if your son or daughter shows an enjoyment for flying, why not give them the gift of a flight simulation game to learn on. They can mostly be bought for way under a hundred dollars and if they really enjoy it well they might just make a career out of it.

The choice of aircraft available is huge and they might wish to learn in a Cessna or Piper but then graduate up to a commercial jetliner such as a Boeing 747 or commercial cargo plane, or, they maybe inclined to choose a military plane or helicopter.

There are thousands of games to choose from such as Nintendo, play stations or flight pro sim.

Flight simulator games are very easy to use once the learner has followed the instructions properly and within no time the user will truly think he or she is actually flying the real aircraft, such is the realism attached to the graphics, locations available and the cockpit (known in simulators as the simpits).

Flight simulators are great fun to use as a game but aviation institutions take them very seriously indeed, as it's the basis to teach there young, budding inexperienced pilots. But they are also used by experienced pilots, either to hone their skills or even to check the airports or routes they are about to fly on.
